Celebrating 45 Years
of Dedication to the Washington D.C. Metropolitan
Elderly Community
In
1966, the well-respected Butler family began a Powhatan tradition
with their commitment to excellence in quality of care and service to their
senior community. Forty-five years later, Powhatan’s dedication to our senior
population remains exemplary. We take pride in meeting the individual
needs of those entrusted to our care.
We are
truly one of a kind; not part of a chain or large corporation, the only all
private pay, family owned and operated, licensed nursing home in the
metropolitan area.
The Powhatan Nursing Home in Falls Church,
Virginia, is dedicated to the care and supervision of those members of our
elderly population who can no longer maintain the responsibilities of
independent living because of their health-care needs. Our privately
owned, health-care facility puts these individuals in the care of a dedicated,
professional nursing staff 24-hours a day.
Our resident population and staff
interact as an extended family. Many of our staff members, including
volunteer workers-have been with Powhatan for years, contributing to the
community of care and the human relationships which are such an important part
of our residents’ lives.
Licensed nurses work with each resident’s physician to
develop individualized programs of care, and the quality of that care is the
common goal of all members of our staff.
